The puppy you have selected is warranted by us to the original purchaser to be healthy at the time of purchase. In accordance with the above, We also warranty your puppy to be free from Parvo Virus, Distemper, Hepatitis, Corona Virus, for 10 days from the date of purchase. Should your veterinarian detect any of the above mentioned diseases within the fourteen day period immediately following your purchase, you must notify us within twenty four hours .
We need your cooperation. You must take responsibility for your pet. Our warranty stipulates that you must have your puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within 7 days of taking possession. (PLEASE NO VACCINES UNTIL SECOND VISIT.) After reviewing the records we have provided and evaluating your puppy, your veterinarian will provide a schedule of the remaining preventative care steps. Do not put off this initial vet visit.
Remember that we have been monitoring your puppy’s health daily. A new home, new food, and new people are all stressful. These stresses can lead to rapid changes in your puppy’s general health. Seeking advice from Doctor Pup and your veterinarian will help reduce the risks.

Some problems do not become apparent until later in your puppy’s development. This can happen with any puppy regardless of breed, sex, or genetic background. These issues are some of the hardest to understand and accept. We want you to know that we will be here to help should something like a congenital or hereditary disorder arise within the guarantee period. We will help, provided you have been responsible in your duties as a pet owner.
In order to validate your guarantee, you must keep the puppy under regular and continued care of a licensed veterinarian and remain an active member of Doctorpup.com for a minimum of 90 days. Maintaining a relationship with Doctor Pup and your local vet will provide an education that is the foundation for a healthy, happy puppy. Failure to comply with the above will result in immediate termination of this guarantee. We will extend your guarantee up to 10 years as long as you remain a member of Doctorpup.com and continue recommended care with your local vet.
The information provided on Doctor Pup will help you understand and improve your relationship with your puppy through access to Interactive Consultation with a Licensed Vet, Videos, Articles, Forums and also a Doctor Pup App. They will provide education that is logical and easy to follow, such as adjusting your puppy to your home, discussions about nutrition, common diseases, congenital conditions, the hows and whys of vaccinations and much more. PRESCRIPTION REIMBURSEMENT PROGRAM
We offer prescription reimbursement based on certain symptoms if detected within 14 days of arrival.
Cough/respiratory – 14 days Doxycycline, 10 days Azithromycin, 1 injection of Convenia
Giardia – 7 days of Metronidozale along with Panacur OR 6 days of Valbazen OR 5 days of Drontal plus
Follow Up Giardia Test – Direct Smear then centrifugation (we will not cover Eliza test)
In order to receive reimbursement, one of the above must be the first choice prescribed by your vet.
This means if a drug such as Clavomox is given first for a cough, we will not cover the cost of any medications after that choice.
This means for giardia, if only Panacur is given and no Metronidozale, we will not cover the cost of the medication.
This means if your follow up giardia fecal test is an Eliza test, it will not be covered.
The reason behind our prescription reimbursement program is to pay for what gets the job done in the quickest most effective manner. Our goal is to treat something one time successfully. Our team of vets have determined these prescriptions are the most direct and effective way to correct the above mentioned issues (by no means is this implying your dog will have an issue). Our goal is to educate you on what we will reimburse, in the case that one of these minor irritations occur. Simply email a receipt showing the initial vet visit, which shows prescription cost, to us
WE DO NOT COVER:
- The genetic conditions we do not cover are inguinal and umbilical hernias, retained testicles, cherry eyes. These conditions are common and can be fixed easily when the puppy is spayed or neutered. We feel it puts too much stress on the puppy to have any of the above procedures performed at a young age.
- X-rays related to a cough unless it is needed due to an ongoing & persistent irritation. Consult with Doctor Pup for approval.
- Luxating patellas or congenital hip disease are not covered unless detected within the first 30 days.
- The Happy Maltese Pups does not cover common parasites (i.e. coccidia, giardia) or respiratory infections. If detected early, both items are simple to treat and should never be a cause for death.We do however offer the prescription reimbursement program detailed above.
- Absolutely no warranty claims will be accepted for issues resulting from LOW BLOOD SUGAR.
- Diagnostics related to grade 1 or 2 heart (murmurs most are transient and represent no threat to your puppy).

If you plan on breeding your new addition, please make sure you ask specifically for breeding stock, as we will ensure your new puppy will meet your requirements.
*IN THE CASE OF SUDDEN DEATH, WE REQUIRE A NECROPSY TO BE PREFORMED IN ORDER TO FILE A WARRANTY CLAIM. AS A COURTESY, PREMIER PUPS WILL OFFER A 50% DISCOUNT OFF THE PURCHASE OF A NEW PUPPY (UP TO $1500) IF YOU ARE UNABLE OR CHOOSE NOT TO GET AN NECROPSY PREFORMED.
**WE WILL NOT ACCEPT WARRANTY CLAIMS FROM BANFIELD PET HOSPITALS (BANFIELD IS ASSOCIATED WITH PETSMART PET SUPPLIES) OR VCA PET HOSPITALS. WE MADE THIS DECISION BECAUSE BOTH CLINICS LISTED OVERCHARGE CLIENTS AS WELL AS TAKE UNNECESSARY PRECAUTIONS IN ORDER TO DRIVE ADDITIONAL INCOME FOR THE CLINIC. ALL OTHER PET HOSPITALS ARE ACCEPTED.**
IF YOU LIVE 40 MILES OR LESS FROM BETHEL ANIMAL HOSPITAL (LOCATED IN CENTRAL OHIO) WE REQUIRE YOU TO TAKE THE PUPPY TO THEIR CLINIC FOR ANY WARRANTY RELATED ISSUES. OTHERWISE VET BILLS INCURRED WILL BE AT YOUR OWN EXPENSE.
No cash refunds. No vet bill refunds, only credit towards new puppy will be awarded. In the case that the Hereditary or Congenital issue can be corrected we will reimburse up to the price paid for the puppy (not including extras: shipping, etc.).
